• Formerly employed at the makers of Embperl as web developer, now Linux and FreeBSD system administrator at Department of Physics, ETH Zürich.
• Uses no more Windows at home since 1997. (Nearly all his machines run Debian GNU/Linux or GNU/kFreeBSD nowadays.)
• Uses Opera, Conkeror, Kazehakase, Lynx and Links2 as web browsers, no big fan of Firefox. (Yeah, Browser Wars!)
• Command line (zsh, formely tcsh) and text-mode fan, though a "Webmensch". (Needs the GUI primarily for surfing the web and as xterm multiplexer. )
• Writes code in Perl, Bash, PHP, awk, Lispish (Emacs Lisp, CL, Scheme), PostScript, TeX, C and newly also Ruby. Uses GNU Emacs and zile for coding.
• Advocate of statically generated web pages, e.g. with the Website Meta Language, ikiwiki or Blosxom.
• Apache, Perl and Slashcode hacker (but not member of any of those projects)
• Author of wApua, a WAP browser written in Perl/Tk
• Editor at Symlink
• Maintains a few Debian packages (but not Debian Developer)
• Love-hate with LDAP
• No big fan of neither PHP nor Zope, likes to code with Embperl and Embperl::Objects instead. )
• Likes Wikis (ikiwiki, DokuWiki, roWiki), although most of them are PHP based. Dislikes perl-based TWiki. )
